The British High Commission in Port Moresby in conjunction with the Department for Personal Management administers the Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship Plan in Papua New Guinea.

Funded by the UK's Department for International Development and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the scholarship scheme is administered by the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the British Council and is open to citizens of Commonwealth Countries.

The Commonwealth Scholarship award for the 2010/11 academic year is now closed.
