On-line Chevening Scholarships Programme applications are now invited. This highly competitive scheme offers full-time postgraduate scholarships for study in the UK to Papua New Guinean women and men who will play a key role in promoting the country's political, economic & social development.

Applicants should have a university degree and very good written and spoken English. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their potential and motivation to rise to positions of authority.

To complete the e-Chevening online application form you will require details of your qualifications and past experience as well as the contact details of two referees. You will also be required to complete a personal statement describing why you wish to study in the UK and how you expect to benefit from your proposed qualification.

Please note that should you be called to an interview, you will be required to bring original reference letters from your designated referees, together with your original certificates for the qualifications you record.

The deadline for the submission of on-line applications is 31 January 2010.
