The UK based Volunteer Service Overseas has more than 50 volunteers in PNG, coming from eight countries and ranging from twenty year olds to sixty year olds. The network is the largest international volunteer service in PNG and the biggest VSO operation in the Pacific. Volunteers are based throughout PNG and via their Headquarters in Madang and are involved in partnership programs in a range of areas including Education, Health, HIV and Aids, Environmental Protection and Climate Change.

In addition to UK funding, VSO PNG is also supported by AusAID, the Canadian Government and a number of other private and public benefactors.
