UK government funded networks in PNG
The UK is among the world's top five contributors to development aid focused on alleviating poverty and assisting developing countries in the delivery of the Millenium Development Goals. In addition to the UK's Global Bi-Lateral Development Programme we also disperse large quantities of development support through international multi-lateral organisations, international and local partners and community groups. The UK contributions to PNG netoworks via the European Commission, World Bank, International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, the Commonwealth, Volunteer Service Overseas, the Overseas Development Institute, and the Darwin Initiative which amounts to more than K130 million a year.
